I’ve been feeling called to do another challenge so here we go… #21bemindful !!!!
You knew it was gonna be 21 days, for those of you who are new here I believe 21 days is the perfect amount of time to reprogram yourself. It’s a perfect amount of time to give a new lifestyle change a chance to do it’s magic. It takes time to get our mind, body and spirit all on board! LOL!
In today’s society we are all very busy living lives for everyone else. We spend wasted hours of our lives making other people happy and/or successful and I’m not really sure why. We spend hours of our day listening to garbage or propaganda. Many of us are not eating and nourishing ourselves properly because we have not made our food a priority. Most of us are not taking time to honor and care for our flesh suit as we should. We are dismissive almost with our bodies, we become frustrated and angry when it does not do what we want it to do…but can I ask how you have been treating it? Is your body not cooperating, maybe we aren’t listening? We have forgotten that it is the temple holding the soul, and we should treat it so.
We all become products of our environments, so what are you allowing into yours? Let’s spend 21 days evaluating our day to day tasks on a different level and watch how powerful your really are. What are you feeding your mind, body and soul? It might be time to change up the menu. There is no right or wrong way to do this challenge& it’s going to be different for everyone so I invited some of my SeaStars along to share their interpretations of the challenge so make sure to follow #21bemindful to view their versions. Obviously you can partake in this challenge outline whenever you like but collectively we will be practicing this together beginning on July 9th, 2021 during the next new Moon.
Week One – Quiet the Noise – what are you listening to? Is that old school gangster rap got you degrading your dignity? What are you watching? I know we all love a good true crime story but does it need to consume or visual or auditory receptors? We could replace that song about how much we hate being alone to an empowering one with an upbeat tune that’s got us dancin’ in our seat. Did you know certain frequencies have been proven to heal different organs and chakras?
These are the Solfeggio frequencies and their associated properties:
· 40Hz: linked to brain waves that stimulate memory
· 174 Hz: reduces stress and pain
· 285 Hz: healing to skin & physical wounds
· 396 Hz: liberation from negative feelings
· 417 Hz: transformation and fixing broken situations
· 528 Hz: miracles and DNA repair
· 639 Hz: interpersonal relationships
· 741 Hz: solving problems, solutions, creative expression
You can easily google or YouTube any of these sounds for your own little experiments or usage. These frequencies are great to listen to while meditating or doing simple tasks around the house. I would not advise listening and driving but it could make washing dishes a more pleasurable experience. And everyone is different, so I challenge you switch up what you’re listening to this week and notice how you respond. Have a long commute to work? Turn off the mindless news and tune into a positive affirmation podcast. Have a family member that calls every Wednesday to bitch about the week before? Who says you have to answer it? I’m not saying you have to ghost all dark or negative things but do be mindful of how you are allowing them to show up in your day to day life.
Week Two: Nourish the Temple How you providing nutrition and hydration to your body? Do you prepare meals for yourself like you do your loved ones or do you neglect yourself? Do you eat simply because you haven’t? What if we made every little snack or meal a beautiful ritual of self-love? This is an area a personally struggle. If it wasn’t for my family relying on me to feed them I would probably go days without eating. I’ve had some unhealthy relationships with food this lifetime, and I’ve recently realized how much work I have to do in this area. While most people confuse overeating with unhealthy eating under eating is probably just as common. Let’s spend a week being exceptionally mindful of what we are eating and drinking!
So much healing comes from food. How nourishing is a warm homemade soup when you aren’t feeling well? Why is it that we deprive ourselves of water when we are made up of at least 60% water??? What if we gave our daily jug of H2O special intention and oversaturated ourselves in it hourly? I don’t know about you all but I struggle here – I’m going to drown myself positive affirmations this week. I’m also going to challenge myself to eat more colors of the rainbow - especially the colors calling to me.
Side note: different foods are associated with different chakras and organs. If you are called to certain ones there is probably a reason. Listen to your body – it’s going to let you know what you need. It takes a silent mind to hear the body and truly align. I’d keep
During this challenge I personally will be eating more, not less and my goal is to drink a fuck ton of water everyday which is something I’ve been slacking on. I create these beautiful rituals when cooking for my family – I must start creating new beautiful rituals to feed myself. I’m not sure why it’s taken me this long to have this understanding of food… I need to truly honor and appreciate my body in a new way, to thank it for all it has given me. It deserves to be nourished and hydrated in the richest of ways. It’s long overdue this new self – love journey but it’s healing me in ways I didn’t know I needed but I’m here for it.
Week Three: Making Moves – Ironically it’s a full moon – well not ironically we planned this! Time to give up whatever isn’t serving you!!! Reflect on the last couple weeks. What has been the most challenging? Why? What work do you need to do in this area? Let’s do it! Give it up, whatever it is and replace it with something else to fill the void. Lifestyle changes don’t happen easily but if you set yourself up for success you can do anything. Often we find boundaries are a Bitch! Sometimes they are hard to set initially and even harder to keep so give yourself some grace and forgiveness and readjust that boundary as needed. Replacing old patterns and cycles with new tools is how we change and evolve be mindful of how you are setting yourself up. Let’s level up folks this phase is done!!!!

Breaking things = Running a couple miles
Yelling & saying hateful things = Doing the Dishes
Smoking cigarettes = Headstands
90’s Rap = Joyce Meyer
Negative Self Talk = Love Songs in the Mirror
Psycho Killer Films = Mindless Comedies
Toxic Workplaces = Less Toxic Workplaces
Don’t get me wrong I’m still going to watch the latest Conjuring Movie and I listened to Afroman’s latest album but let’s be mindful of how much of that kind of thing we allow into our life. Take control back of your life by being mindful of what you’re allowing into it.
Things trigger people different types of ways and what may work for one person may not work for another so again here’s a reminder to give yourself and others grace and forgiveness during these growing processes. Life’s a bitch and sometimes she fucks us up. Those of us in the midst of the storm can’t always see that it’s only passing through.
Collectively know we got this, it’s time to live more mindful and watch your life change. Let's rewrite the narritaive and reprogram our realities into something our future selves will thank us for!
And side note - those who suffer most while we are busy leveling up? Typically is the ones that are comfortable with the new boundaries we have set in motion...don't let that defer you. Even the people who have been in your life for years can relearn boundaries, give them and yourself 21 days to relearn the boundary. You got this!!!!
